Another study(6) noted that when combined with a resistance training program, collagen supplementation supported healthy aging and muscle health in elderly men. They write, “the study has demonstrated that the combination of resistance exercise and collagen peptide supplementation resulted in a more pronounced improvement of body composition, as indicated by a significant increase in muscle mass and decrease in FM [fat mass], compared with placebo.”
