Garcinia Cambogia extract comes from a small, pumpkin shaped fruit. This fruit is native to Indonesia but can also be found in India, Southeast Asia and in parts of Africa.

Garcinia is considered a meal 'filler.' Adding this ingredient makes meals more filling while acting as an appetite blocker.

The natural extract found in Garcinia Cambogia is called hydroxycitric acid (HCA). Recent research has suggested that HCA can help double or triple weight loss efforts.

How does HCA Work?

HCA works in two different ways:

  1. HCA blocks fat.It helps to inhibit an enzyme that the body needs to make fat from carbohydrates: citrate lyase. Typically carbohydrates that are not immediately used by the body are converted in to fats. HCA inhibits citrate lyase and the fat-making process is slowed down.
  2. HCA increases serotonin levels, suppressing the appetite. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter responsible for feelings of happiness and feeling good. Serotonin is often found in antidepressant medications. Increasing serotonin levels naturally can help curb emotional eating.

Recommended Dosage

Typically, taking 500-100 mg before each meal will be sufficient. Don't exceed taking 3000mg total per day.

Keep in mind there is no such thing as a magic pill that can replace regular exercise and a healthy diet.

Side Effects

Some people may experience nausea, digestive problems, stomach cramps and headaches while taking Garcinia.
