Nattosyn capsules, provided by Douglas Laboratories, contain a synergistic combination of nattokinase, hesperidin methyl chalcone and pomegranate extract, designed to provide comprehensive support for circulatory health.*

Nattosyn combines three unique vascular supportive ingredients in one product. Since healthy circulation is an integral part of maintaining proper cardiovascular health, it is important to include nutrients that support the functioning of a healthy circulatory system, including healthy blood flow.

Hesperidin methyl chalcone 100 mg

Traditionally, Asian cultures have incorporated significant amounts of soy products in their diets. One such product, natto, is a type of vegetable cheese that is produced from the fermentation of soy with a non-pathogenic bacterium, Bacillus natto. The enzyme produced from this fermentation process, known as nattokinase, has been widely studied for its use in cardiovascular and circulatory health. Nattokinase is a serine endopeptidase consisting of 275 amino acids.

Laboratory studies indicate that nattokinase possesses stronger fibrinolytic activity than other known enzymes. Fibrinolysis is a normal biological process and an important part of an organisms ability to heal wounds and regulate blood clotting. Proper regulation of fibrinolysis can help maintain a healthy flow of blood through the vascular system and ensure that the bodys major organs are continually supplied by oxygen, nutrients and other necessary products for complete health.* Nattokinase is water-soluble and does not need to be enteric coated in order to survive passage through the stomach. The nattokinase used in this formulation was developed to be free of vitamin K.

Hesperidin methyl chalcone is a methylated derivative of the flavonoid hesperidin. Hesperidin methyl chalcone supports and protects the integrity of the vascular system with particular activity in the capillaries and veins.* Hesperidin methyl chalcone has been shown to help support proper capillary resistance and permeability.* Venous motility, tone, and proper vessel dilation are also supported by hesperidin methyl chalcone.

Recent science has been focusing on the cardioprotective aspects of pomegranate. Research has shown that supplementation with pomegranate juice can decrease macrophage lipid accumulation, and cellular cholesterol accumulation in mice. Recently, research in humans has confirmed a beneficial effect of consuming pomegranate juice on parameters such as LDL oxidation, blood pressure, and blood vessel health.
